San Diego Auto Show and New Years Shenanigans.

On the last Saturday of 2012, I was hanging out in San Diego with Timscribbles team and went to the local Carlsbad Cars event. It’s pretty similar to a Cars and Coffee (locals meet up to display and talk about their cars) that they hold in Irvine, instead Carlsbad holds their event more frequently and obviously in Carlsbad. One of my favorite cars there was a Lotus Elan Spirit because it looked like a cute little kayak.

After the Carlsbad Cars event, we caravanned to the Slaters 50/50  where we filled our stomachs with delicious food and beverages. With our bellies full, the TS team headed over to the San Diego auto show to look at more cars.

The year came and went by so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating 2012. So, to close out the year and ring in 2013, I spent it with Timscribbles team, P5R (or as I usually call them MCC – Miata Car Club), and a couple of new friends at a Kaus’ place. Drinking, playing card games, and having fake mustaches have never been so fun. It was the perfect amount of shenanigans to kick off the New Year.

Wedding – Melissa and Mason

About a month ago, my dear friend Amanda came back into town from Hong Kong. While we were catching up with one another, she told me her sister was coming back to have a wedding. Jokingly, I said I was going to crash it and join the party with the happy couple. The next thing I know, I’m out shopping for a wedding outfit because Melissa said she would be more than happy for me to join in the festivities! It was a lovely time celebrating with all of Melissa and Mason’s family. Wishing the best for these two! Here are some photos from the ceremony.

Extreme Autofest 2012 – San Diego

Last Sunday was Extreme Autofest at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. I was fortunate to tag along with my buddies from Timscribbles.com  and snap some photos of such lovely cars. They even made a track where if you registered with them could drive your own car and do a time trial. It was neat to see Honda’s, Miata’s, and even a couple of Mustangs run through the track. With every car event I go to, I am slowly learning little by little. Honestly, the most I could tell you is whether or not I thought the car was pretty. Thankfully the guys were knowledgeable enough to answer my every silly question. It was nice of them to just point out a car to me and ask my thought about whether or not I liked the design and shape of it. Here are some of my favorites.

My latest obsession has been wooden steering wheels. I must get one for my next car!

My favorite car at the show. The AC Cobra, isn’t it beautiful!
